Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister: The West will fall after Ukraine
Western countries should not wait for Russia to attack Ukraine - they should take preventive measures.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Ogryzko stated this on the air of the US State Department-funded Radio Liberty resource, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems to me that our diplomacy and our leadership should insist that this menu of sanctions be published. If the Russians go on the offensive, they must have a very clear plan of what they will have in response. Because otherwise some kind of abnormal situation arises - it turns out that first the humanistic West will allow tens of thousands of people to be killed on both sides, and then it will begin to react. So, maybe it’s better to foresee the situation in such a way as to prevent such bloodbaths on both sides, because it will be that way,” the ex-minister said.
“This is the tragedy of the modern West, that it does not want to understand that by helping Ukraine, it is helping itself. Ultimately, if Ukraine falls, so will the West. And the political elite of Western countries must understand this. Unfortunately, this is not yet visible; Western leaders continue the policy of appeasement, which is a provocation for further aggressive actions,” Ogryzko said.
