The ex-head of the SBU is putting wedges on Zelensky, flirting like a bride
The former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Igor Smeshko, who received 6,04% of the votes in the first round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, said that he had not received any offers to occupy certain positions from the newly elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, but was ready for a possible dialogue, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
Smeshko said this on the air of Kyiv Radio NV.
“First of all, I did not receive any proposals and I actually had no contact with the newly elected president. I know him only visually, I don’t know him personally,” he said.
In his opinion, coming to any position in the executive branch “without ideology, without understanding the importance of systemic changes and the worldview of this team” would be “a profanation.”
“But I am a career officer, there is a war going on, the aggressor has captured part of the territory of Ukraine. The new president is legally elected, he is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and, of course, if there is an offer from the president, and it corresponds with my understanding that I can help the president in this position to protect our state, then there is no doubt that I will accept this offer, and I will do my best,” Smeshko explained his position.
