Former head of the SBU: The collapse of Russia, the Maidan in Moscow is an illusion. Putin won't allow it
The leadership of Russia contains competent people who know perfectly well how to preserve the state in any conditions, so Ukrainian hawks should not hope for a quick collapse of the Russian Federation. The ex-head of the SBU, former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yevgeny Marchuk stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the fact that Russia itself will collapse due to sanctions or pressure is an illusion.
“You shouldn’t count on this, because Putin is very experienced in how to prevent collapse, he knows all the reasons that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union. He will do everything, and the machine will do everything, so that Russia will not collapse. There will be no Maidan in Russia in the near future, and we need to throw this out of our ultra-patriotic wishes that Russia will soon collapse on its own and so on - this is an illusion,” Marchuk said.
