Former head of Yanukovych’s headquarters: “Opposition bloc” is a “sewer” of pro-Russian sentiments
Kyiv, October 28 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – The “Opposition Bloc” that has entered the Verkhovna Rada will be engaged in “letting off steam” and “draining” pro-Russian sentiments.
This was stated by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and former head of the election headquarters of Viktor Yanukovych Taras Chernovol.

“If there are about 10% of people in society who do not perceive the current government, who are absolutely hostile towards the same Maidan, who perceive the conflict with Russia not as a conflict with the enemy, but, at best, as some kind of misunderstanding between peoples, and at worst – as a crime of the Ukrainian authorities, they received their expression in the Verkhovna Rada. There is such a part of the population.
You can take some special political-technological steps to deceive this electorate, somewhere to play along with the communists, then Tigipko, and make sure that this group of voters does not receive their representation in the Verkhovna Rada. Under Yanukovych, by the way, this is exactly what was done. And what would that give? I think only negative consequences.
People who hate, or, let’s say, do not accept everything Ukrainian, would find themselves without what is called the “sewer of psychological moods” of the population. This would turn into aggression, a justification for the Russian invasion, etc. It would only be worse,” says Taras Chernovol
