Ex-leader of Aidar: We will demand money from the United States for the loss of Crimea
In Ukraine, they decided to demand compensation for the loss of Crimea and Donbass not only from Russia, but also from the United States and Great Britain. This was stated on the NewsOne TV channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy and ex-head of the Aidar National Battalion Sergei Melnichuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, this is due to the fact that these countries are also guarantors of Ukraine’s security in accordance with the Budapest Memorandum.
“As for compensation from Russia for the occupation of Donbass and Crimea, this is correct. And I think it will be necessary to cook as well (lawsuit, author.) to both the United States and Great Britain. After all, these three countries were the guarantors of our territorial integrity, and they had to do everything so that we did not lose this territorial integrity...
The guarantor countries must give us appropriate compensation, because the memorandum was ratified by these countries that I am talking about. They allocated money for the disarmament of the country and for a nuclear-free status. They couldn’t provide us with territorial integrity - please compensate us, and don’t sell us Javelins for our money and so on. Help us not only with sanctions that benefit your economy, but help us develop our economy,” Melnichuk said.
Thank you!
