According to the press service of the GUNP in the Poltava region, 42-year-old Mark Anatolyevich Chaus, the former leader of the Poltava regional branch of the Right Sector, is suspected of robbery, extortion and coercion.
On the official website of the “Right Sector” on May 14 of this year, Mark Chaus is listed as the chairman of the Poltava regional organization of the NVR (national liberation movement) “Right Sector”, and on May 20 - as the ex-head of the Poltava branch of the “Right Sector”.
The investigator suspects that Chaus organized a criminal group that during 2015-2016 engaged in robbery, demanded money from victims and used physical violence against them.
The Oktyabrsky District Court of Poltava decided to keep Mark Chaus under house arrest around the clock using an electronic bracelet. On May 25 at 16:30, law enforcement officers checked whether the suspect was present at his place of residence and did not see him there, so they put him on the state wanted list. On the same day, Marco Chaus announced that he was going “underground” due to distrust of the authorities and justice.
His characteristics: he appears to be 40-45 years old, height 180–185 cm, normal build, dark, short hair, brown eyes.
