Ex-head of the SBU Gritsak was accused of treason and espionage - a criminal case has been opened
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has opened criminal proceedings into allegations of high treason and espionage committed by the former head of the SBU Vasily Gritsak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in NABU’s response to a request from the Kyiv publication Ukrainian News.
NABU notes that the case was opened by a court decision, which ordered the registration of the relevant criminal proceedings.
On October 4, NABU received a statement of a criminal offense regarding the commission of crimes by the former chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine that fall under the qualifications of Art. Art. 28, 364 (abuse of official position), 365 (abuse of official position), 366 (forgery), 191 (embezzlement), 111 (treason), 114 (espionage) of the Criminal Code. However, the case was not opened.
On October 25, the court ordered NABU to open criminal proceedings on these facts.
