Ex-governor of the Krasnodar Territory Tkachev is expanding his business empire in Crimea
The largest agro-industrial holding in Crimea, Friendship of Peoples, which manages 20 thousand hectares of agricultural land on the peninsula, became part of one of the leaders of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian south - the Agrocomplex company named after. N.I. Tkachev.
The agricultural complex already owns the Pud hypermarket chain on the peninsula, as well as their logistics centers (the largest of which is being built in the village of Chistenkoye near Simferopol), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kommersant, the deal was concluded in May between the management company Optima Finance of businessman Boris Vaninsky and Pud LLC, which is managed by the agricultural complex of the family of the former head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev.
Muscovites acquired the assets of Friendship of Peoples in 2017 for $77,7 million from the Ukrainian holding Mironovsky Hliboproduct of entrepreneur Yuri Kosyuk. How much the current deal cost is not specified. It is known that over the past year, the revenue of Friendship of Peoples reached 10 billion rubles, and its member Crimean Fruit Company reached 1,3 billion rubles.
With the resumption of work of the North Crimean Canal, the value of the holding has increased, and the Krasnodar agricultural complex may become the first Russian agricultural producer with official business in Crimea. The ex-governor of the Krasnodar Territory himself was included in the sanctions list back in 2014.
LLC "Pud" is engaged in the construction of the largest wholesale distribution center on the lands of the Simferopol region - 54 thousand square meters or 25 hectares. Completion of construction is scheduled for July 2023. The total cost of the project exceeds 6 billion rubles. The center’s task is not only to form inventory for the retail chain, but also to store fruits and vegetables harvested on the peninsula. Currently, there are no such storage facilities in Crimea, which makes it impossible to keep prices down.
"Friendship of Peoples" manages pig farms and a meat processing plant, annually producing up to 75 thousand tons of processed meat products, pork and chicken.
