The ex-commander of “Aidar” was interrogated in the case of creating a terrorist organization
The Ukrainian Security Service on Monday interrogated the people's deputy, former commander of the odious nationalist battalion "Aidar" Sergei Melnichuk as a witness in the case of creating a terrorist organization.

The interrogation took place at the headquarters of the SBU in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, intelligence agency investigator Maxim Skrypka told reporters.
According to him, criminal proceedings under Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code (creation of a terrorist organization) were registered by the SBU department in the Lugansk region based on statements from victims. This department asked to interrogate Melnichuk.
Let us remind you that the Prosecutor General's Office also opened a case against Melnichuk. He is suspected of committing robbery, kidnapping, car theft and using violence against law enforcement officers. The investigation into the case was completed in February, but there is no information about the start of a judicial review.
As part of this case, a year ago the Verkhovna Rada lifted Melnychuk’s immunity and allowed him to be brought to criminal liability. The deputy is under a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 300 thousand hryvnia. This does not prevent Melnichuk from attending parliamentary meetings.
