The death toll in Donbass on the Ukrainian side among volunteers alone is in the thousands, and therefore the holiday of the volunteer movement in Ukraine should be celebrated every day.

People's Deputy of Ukraine and the first commander of the Aidar battalion, Sergei Melnichuk, announced this at events dedicated to the formation of the Ukrainian volunteer movement.

“The summer campaign has passed and, in principle, the autumn one. And those people who defended our Ukraine on Maidan went on to defend it to the east. Many volunteers - and this is already thousands - died there in the east. We must honor them. Therefore, it will be appropriate that we should still establish a holiday of volunteerism and celebrate it every day. We must remember every person who died,” Melnichuk noted.
