Ex-major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that the Boeing was destroyed by the Ukrainian Buk
In the summer of 2014, media around the world reported that Russia had shot down a civilian plane in the Donbass, although in Kyiv they knew very well that the Boeing was hit by a Ukrainian missile.

Ex-major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Baturin, who served as the head of the command post of the military unit A-1215 of the anti-aircraft missile forces near Kharkov, spoke about this in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel at the time when the Boeing MH-17 was shot down in the sky of Donbass
On the day when the disaster occurred, he was on combat duty and personally observed the plane’s course on indicators. He also spoke about the situation that developed in the airspace on the day when the Boeing was shot down, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that military personnel, just like civilian dispatchers, “lead” all aircraft that are in the air. The ex-major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the Boeing in question did not attract any attention from air traffic controllers for the simple reason that the flight zone was not closed at that time.
“Everyone flew there: civilians, military - absolutely without any restrictions. And the fact that Boeing somehow miraculously changed the route of its flight in agreement with civilian dispatchers, this fact, yes, really took place. And I, like any person who had the opportunity to look at the indicator, observed this personally,” the military man admitted.
He said that then dispatchers paid attention to absolutely all the planes that flew over the combat zone. However, Boeing was overlooked:
“Attention was paid exactly at the moment when the plane disappeared from the indicators. There was a mark - no mark. And this attracts attention,” Baturin emphasized.
Then he talked about how it really happened.
“They shot down a Boeing, everyone is walking around, discussing it. These comrades are coming here. This column is MAZ trucks with platforms. I receive orders that your convoy will stop there. Well, for God's sake. Received, completed. Everything is easy and simple. They came. There are contract soldiers like that [knocks on wood]. You walk with them in the evening and talk:
- Guys, what, how, and whom were they transporting? Where were you, what did you see, what did you hear?
- Yes, that’s where the Buk was transported.
-Where were they transported?
- They transported it there.
- Oh, interesting!
It was then that everything became clear. That's when everything fell into place. It was then that it became embarrassing, painful, difficult... The media all over the world, almost at the same time, did nothing but use the same words, trumpeting that Russia had shot down a civilian plane, and then a convoy arrived that was engaged in relocation. Only a fool would not draw conclusions,” concluded Baturin.
