Shtepa's lawyer Alexander Shadrin announced this.
“The court extended house arrest and wearing an electronic bracelet until January 13 and allowed me to go to Kyiv for inpatient treatment for 4 days,” said Alexander Shadrin.
The court also decided to continue considering the case of Nelya Shtepa, despite the replacement of the presiding judge.
“The new presiding judge Sklyarenko recused himself due to procedural violations during his appointment, but two other judges (members of the panel - IF) voted against. The court also did not grant our request to disqualify the judges. After this, it became clear that there was no point in insisting on a new review. We decided to continue the hearing,” said A. Shadrin.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 19.
As reported, the presiding judge in the Nelya Shtepa case, Viktor Viktorov, went on maternity leave.
Shtepa was arrested on July 13, 2014. She is accused of committing criminal offenses under Part 3 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, which resulted in the death of people) and Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
