Until the Minsk agreements are implemented, Ukraine should not count on the arrival of investors. Otherwise, strategic enterprises will be sold for next to nothing.

Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on TV channel 112.
According to him, ending the war in Donbass is a key condition for restoring the Ukrainian economy.
“As long as there is a war in Ukraine, there cannot be real investors and real investments. And they won't be. Under these conditions, the government decides to privatize the largest strategic enterprises with the aim, allegedly, of attracting investors. It is clear that while the situation is unfavorable, then either these objects can be purchased for next to nothing for the purpose of further resale, or they cannot be sold at all. So today there is an extremely unfavorable investment climate,” he says.
According to Suslov, the first condition for the successful privatization of Ukrainian assets should be the end of the war in Donbass.
“The Minsk agreements must be fully implemented, and the war in Donbass must be stopped. This is the primary condition for privatization. Then the investor will see whether he can invest money for a long period in Ukraine or not,” Suslov said.
