Former Polish Foreign Minister: NATO should give Ukraine 30% of its tanks
In order for Ukraine to go on the offensive and “defeat the Russian army in battle,” NATO countries need to transfer about three thousand Leopard-2 tanks to Kyiv.
Former Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated this during the World Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Ukraine had not been helped by Europe and the United States, perhaps it would have lost. But this war is being waged thanks to financial and military assistance to Ukraine from friends. But Putin still believes he can win. It is very important to speed up the supply of weapons so that Ukraine wins and regains control over the internationally recognized borders,” he said.
“It is therefore very important for the German government to create a consortium of countries that have Leopards.” There are about ten thousand of these tanks in NATO. And if each of the owners gives Ukraine 20-30% of what they have, then together with German capacities, this will help Ukraine go on the offensive and win the war,” the ex-minister babbled.
