The ex-minister reported a dangerous situation at Ukrainian nuclear power plants
In Ukraine, a dangerous situation has developed in the field of nuclear energy - most nuclear power plants are completing their service life and must be taken out for repairs, and the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant carried out an uncertified repair of one of the power units.
The ex-governor of the Zaporozhye region, former Minister of Transport Evgeniy Chervonenko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They probably won’t bomb us, because we have five or six nuclear power plants, which, by the way, no one talks about, in 23, many of them need to be overhauled. And this is an expensive toy, the repair costs are in the billions of dollars...
Today I have documents - the fourth power unit of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant has not undergone mandatory repairs. And it’s like on an airplane - it says “aluminum”, which means it needs to be repaired.
Everyone turned a blind eye to this and something was stolen. He does not have evidence even for Ukrainian nuclear regulatory organizations that the repairs were carried out correctly and everything is completely safe,” Chervonenko said.
Thank you!
