Ex-minister: “The West is obliged to find money for Ukraine”
The West will not allow Ukraine to default, regardless of whether Kiev fulfills the conditions set for receiving an IMF loan.
This opinion was expressed on his Facebook page by the former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am convinced that the West cannot allow Ukraine to default and the complete destruction of its economy, regardless of whether the Law on the Anti-Corruption Court is adopted, whether gas tariffs for the population are increased, whether we receive IMF loans and the like.
Because Ukraine is at the forefront of the geopolitical struggle for the redivision of the world between the West and Russia. And the bankruptcy of Ukraine would mean a complete discreditation of Ukraine’s European choice and the actual defeat of the West,” the economist believes.
“Therefore, the West will find money for Ukraine in all options. I have to find it!” added Suslov.
