The ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine was questioned by the SBU about the loss of Crimea
Presidential candidate and ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko said that during interrogation by the Security Service of Ukraine, as a witness, he answered questions related to the circumstances of Ukraine’s loss of Crimea in 2014 and the actions of the former head of the SBU, who is now a candidate for President of Ukraine, “PolitNavigator” correspondent reports.
“The investigator was interested in the circumstances related to the surrender of Crimea, regarding one official, I will not name the name, but this is the former head of this body, who has now run for president (obviously, we are talking about the ex-head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko - Ed.),” — he told reporters on Tuesday after interrogation, the press service of his party “Civic Position” reports.
Gritsenko noted that he presented this information back in January 2016 to the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, but it did not reach the court.
“We are talking about facts of official inaction, which entailed serious consequences in the form of the loss of Crimea, people and territory. Today I again gave exhaustive testimony, which requires a maximum of three days to verify, but in the current conditions this case has no prospects,” he said.
Gritsenko added that the reason for calling him in for questioning at this time was his statements during a speech on one of the TV channels. At the same time, he noted that before this he had repeatedly voiced this information on various central and regional channels.
