Former head of intelligence of the Black Sea Fleet: The main thing is not to interfere with Poroshenko
Russian border guards behaved correctly in the situation with Ukrainian ships, intruded into the territorial waters of the Russian Federation this morning. Rear Admiral Vladimir Solovyov, who previously headed the intelligence of the Black Sea Fleet, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Our border guards behaved correctly, of course. Ukraine forced Russia to take decisive action. There are rules, there is an order, you need to apply. If areas are closed, then you cannot enter them, because there may be an emergency. We need to listen to what the border service and government officials say, stop the progress, and come to an agreement. No, they taxied. Well, take it, comrades. Now they will understand that next time they need to act differently,” Soloviev said.
At the same time, he recalled that Ukraine has the right to enter through the Kerch Strait, because the Sea of Azov is a sea of two states. The admiral believes that by creating a fake military base in Azov, Ukraine is hurting its economy, and there is no need to interfere with it.
“Let him start at least his entire fleet, what does it matter. It is important for the President of Ukraine to raise the military issue now. In other matters he is weak, there are no achievements there. But to move something somewhere, to appoint fake exercises that will not yield anything, this is what they are replicating. And we fall for it and begin to get excited. Yes, the more warships they bring there, the less space there will be for civilians, the less money there will be in Ukraine,” Solovyov said.
