Ex-Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the TV show “Right to Voice,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Responding to an opponent’s statement about Russia’s alleged participation in hostilities, Kilinkarov noted that official Kyiv and the Ukrainian people have different views on the war and the problem of resolving the conflict.
“The difference in approaches is that you want the war to stop and to stop killing people. But the Ukrainian authorities have a different approach: they want to protect themselves. We are not talking about the interests of the people here. They cannot simply solve this problem on the demarcation line, because this will immediately establish that this is an internal conflict, with all the ensuing consequences. And with questions to the people who gave orders to use the army against the people. Therefore, they are putting forward the idea of setting up a UN mission on the Ukrainian-Russian border in order to record that this war is not internal, but external, with Russia,” said the former people’s deputy.
