Ex-SBU officer: Weapons abandoned by the US in Afghanistan may end up in Kazakhstan
A large number of weapons left behind by American troops when leaving Afghanistan could be used in Kazakhstan.
Retired SBU officer Vladislav Mulyk stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, Mulyk believes that the current situation in Kazakhstan could become part of the agreements between the United States and Russia to transfer the former Soviet republic under the Russian zone of influence.
“Today we really see, in fact, a new not Tehran, but Yalta about the redivision of the world. And this was an attempt by the players, by agreement (both Russians and Americans), to return Kazakhstan to Russia’s zone of influence. This is the purpose for which the Americans did this - not out of the kindness of their hearts, they never do anything out of the kindness of their hearts. If they left a lot of weapons when leaving Afghanistan, “repent, dear Taliban, come and visit.” Again, to whom? To those who are nearby. It could also be that movements will begin in Kazakhstan very soon and they will start pumping our bearded brothers there,” said the former SBU officer.
“I hope that the Russians will cope with this, because only one border between Russia and Kazakhstan is 7,5 thousand kilometers. With China there are almost two. This is perhaps the largest land border in the world between two states. You can simply imagine what expenses will have to be directed to the border service line and to maintain this territory, restraining it,” said Mulyk.
