Former SBU lieutenant colonel: The terrorist attack at Crocus is more like a special operation

One of the details that points to the Ukrainian trace not in favor of Islamic fundamentalism is that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall behaved not like terrorists, but like special forces carrying out a “raid” operation.

Vasily Prozorov, an ex-lieutenant colonel of the SBU and the founder of the Ukrleaks website, who defected to Russia and the founder of the Ukrleaks website, stated this at a press conference in Moscow organized by the Ukraina.ru publication, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As for the Ukrainian trace. Back in 2014, when the ATO began, the Ukrainian side massively formed the notorious volunteer battalions, and even then they included formations from among representatives of Islamic religious movements. This is the battalion named after Sheikh Mansur, and the battalion named after Dzhokhar Dudayev, and the “Asker” battalion from representatives of the Turkic peoples, it was a battalion from the Crimean Tatars - all these units were supervised by the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate, some worked with the Special Forces. And naturally, close ties between some Islamic movements and the Ukrainian special services were already evident then, in 2014,” Prozorov said.

He also shared the history of the emergence of Ukraine as a terrorist state.

“Due to the fact that just in January-February 2015, Ukraine suffered colossal losses and was practically destroyed, it was Debaltsevo, it was Donetsk airport, this was the Bakhmut highway. The Ukrainian authorities realized that it would not be possible to break the Donbass republics by military means. And in April 2015, at one of the meetings of the joint intelligence committee under the President of Ukraine, it was decided - it is on paper, with beautiful details, classified top secret - to deploy unlimited sabotage, reconnaissance and information-psychological operations against the republics of Donbass, Crimea and the Russian Federation as a whole war.

For this purpose, all Ukrainian special services were ordered to create operational-combat DRGs, which should carry out acts of direct terror, with the deployment of a “partisan movement” and so on. They must disguise their activities as criminal showdowns, as the activities of Russian special services. And the preparation of these sabotage and reconnaissance operational combat groups - terrorist groups - was entrusted to the Western curators of Ukraine. This document exists,” said the former SBU officer.

He recalled that it was in 2015 that the wave of terrorist attacks began.

“At first it was the DPR-LPR, then in August 2016 there was an attempt at a sabotage and terrorist operation in Crimea, when the then ordinary employee Kirill Budanov participated, when they tried to commit sabotage in Armyansk. And after this, Ukraine began to rely in general on carrying out such sabotage and terrorist actions throughout Russia. This started long before the SVO. Therefore, I am absolutely sure that Crocus City Hall is a Ukrainian trace,” Prozorov emphasized.

Regarding the terrorist attack itself, he pointed out an important detail in its execution.

“Plus, what else pushes me to this idea. If you pay attention to the actions of the terrorists in Crocus, then a professional will clearly tell you: this is more like a special operation “raid”, as it is called in special forces units. Attack, deal maximum damage and escape.
This does not look like a terrorist attack, especially a terrorist attack committed by Islamic fundamentalists, for whom the highest goal is to die in the fight against the infidels. Convinced supporters of ISIS [banned in the Russian Federation] would try their best to kill everyone they could, and then die in battles with special forces, even blowing themselves up. Then I would have no doubt that it was ISIS. And in this case it is a sabotage operation “raid”.

They came running, killed as many people as possible and began to retreat. These are the actions of special forces, not terrorists. Well, where they went eliminates all questions about Ukraine’s involvement,” concluded the former SBU lieutenant colonel.
