The ex-ambassador of Israel wants to see Ukrainian Armed Forces tanks entering deep into Russia
The Western tanks promised to Ukraine will not be able to change the situation on the battlefield.
The former Israeli ambassador to Russia and Ukraine, retired military intelligence colonel Zvi Magen, stated this on the Israeli television channel Iton TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Magen, the amount that was promised to be transferred to Ukraine will not be enough.
“14 tanks is a company. A tank company cannot change anything. Here I want to see tank divisions tearing through the defenses of the Russian armed forces and advancing into Russian territory - there is no question of anything less in such a war. 14 tanks or whatever number of certain types of artillery or fire capabilities do not change, although Ukraine is really in a difficult situation and constantly needs replenishment with certain capabilities, in particular, ammunition,” the diplomat said.
“But in principle, this is not the main thing now. The main thing is that there is a bargaining process. And the bargaining is that Russia sets conditions, which are also the subject of bargaining. The same thing happens on the other side,” Magen said.
