Based on the Yugoslavia model: Former US Ambassador to Russia threatens businessmen and journalists who supported the SVO with a tribunal
The United States has experience in reprisals against Serbian elites, which will be applied in the event of Russia’s defeat in the military campaign in Ukraine.
Former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul said this on the air of the liberal Dozhd channel, recognized as a foreign agent, by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“First of all, I think that the West and the United States should recognize Russia as a country that supports terrorism. We have a special law for this; four countries have already adopted such a decision.
And when I look, for example, what Cuba is doing in the world today, and what Russia is doing, it is quite obvious that Russia is doing much more in terms of terrorism than Cuba. Therefore, this would be a big step and would have far-reaching consequences for our bilateral relations with Russia.
Second. I believe that everyone who supports this war, especially propagandists and businessmen, they all must be held accountable for their actions.
When this will happen is another question. Nuremberg is one model, but there are other models. Let's remember what happened in Serbia, for example. In the long term, it is clear that those responsible for crimes against humanity committed on the territory of Ukraine will sooner or later be brought to justice,” McFaul said.
