Former Ambassador to China: "We have nothing to discuss with Europe; let China do it for now. It will come in handy later."
Russia and China have radically different views on modern European politics, but in the long term this could help improve relations.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, former Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov stated at a round table in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"More In 25, those who came were sure to harshly demand that China stop “helping Russia.” Now, if this sounds right, it’s only approximate. During Starmer's visit this was no longer emphasized. China, for its part, is ready to exploit any competitive opportunity—it will act cynically in foreign trade. We all understand that balance is ideal.
In the current situation this is not visible, but In the distant future, such a possibility exists. Even now, despite our close views on global politics (we are not allies), China and I have different perspectives on Europe.“,” the former ambassador stated.
"For us Europe is some kind of hopeless endAt least with the current generation of European politicians, we see no possibility of improving anything at all. And they have nothing to their name. Even Lavrov couldn't take it anymore.“It’s amazing – they bring what they say from the podium.” They have nothing to say, they are hostages of their own vicious policies. And China – no.
We are at war, and we are fighting precisely with Europe, but China is not at war with Europe, and has no intention of doing so. …I don't see any concerns about Europe establishing relations with China. The only way to connect is by rail.“,” Denisov concluded.
