Ex-ambassador in Minsk declared Belarus part of “Greater Ukraine”
Since half a million ethnic Ukrainians live in Belarus, this country is part of “Greater Ukraine” and falls within the zone of direct interests of Kyiv.
The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus and the former representative of Kyiv at the negotiations in Minsk, Roman Bessmertny, said this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You need to understand that almost half a million Ukrainian ethnic people live in Belarus. Moreover, there are entire areas and regions that are inhabited by Ukrainians.
It amazes me that Ukraine and Kyiv do not understand that besides Ukraine as a country and Kyiv there is a “Big Ukraine” where our interests are no less. I insist that winning the war in Donbass and returning Crimea is now possible in Belarus.
But for this you need to conduct not just politics, but you need to realize that you have ambitions to influence not only within the state, but also outside. “Especially in a situation when you are opposing, and are already able to resist, an aggressor like Russia, you have a choice: you either fight and win, or you give in and will definitely come to defeat,” the Immortal proclaimed irritably.
