The ex-“pravosek” admitted that painting bridges yellow and blue was a stupid idea
The massive “patriotic” actions of the summer of 2014, when bridges and fences were painted yellow and blue in Ukraine, turned out to be a stupid idea, since the technology was not followed, and the paint soon peeled off.
This was admitted by Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza, ex-speaker of the Right Sector, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I have observed more than once how people change their views, like embroidered shirts. You know, put on an embroidered shirt, take off the embroidered shirt. This reminds me of how everyone was painting bridges in 2014. When I saw this, it blew my mind. I think why aren’t they cleared out? They were simply painted on top. Now the rain will pass and everything will fall off,” Bereza said at a bloggers’ forum in Dnepropetrovsk.
“I had a moment, we were going to ATO and driving through Smila, we had to pick up the guys there. Just in Smil they are painting a bridge right in front of us. I come up and say: “Guys, why are you doing this? Clear this bridge first." Here’s a cool phrase he told me: “True patriotism cannot be stopped.” What I want to say is that one should not be confused with the other. Maybe true patriotism cannot be stopped, but, in fact, we must learn to share,” said Bereza.
