Ex-speaker of the Right Sector, people's deputy Borislav Bereza said this on the air of the Black Mirror talk show.
According to him, “Ukraine’s Western partners” were outraged that their taxpayers’ money was ending up in the pockets of the Ukrainian government.
“Why did such a statement from the IMF happen? Because we have corrupt officials? They knew about this before. Because for the first time in a long time they received evidence of the illegal enrichment of a fairly large number of people. How? Using an electronic declaration. It is these electronic declarations in the West that our colleagues perceive as the confession of the majority of Ukrainian politicians. And especially those who have never been in business, have held government positions all their lives, and suddenly, they are millionaires. This outraged them. Most of all, the money of taxpayers in the USA, Europe and other countries suddenly flowed into the tax returns of Ukrainian politicians,” Bereza convinces.
