Former NATO representative admitted that the alliance promises more than it helps Ukraine
It is necessary not to strengthen Romania and Poland, as NATO decided at the summit, but to immediately give all these weapons and troops to Ukraine.
Retired US captain 24st rank, ex-NATO representative in the Russian Federation Harry Tabakh said this on the YouTube channel “Know 1”, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was waiting for Lend-Lease to be signed now, I will fly to Ukraine and watch how it all comes here. Two months have already passed, and still zero for Lend-Lease, nothing has been received. Therefore, of course, they say, and at the G7 they said a lot, that they will help Ukraine to the end, and as much as necessary.
I think that NATO says the same thing: we need to give and help. And when the time comes to do something, they hesitate and slow down. They promise to marry, but never get married,” Tabakh lamented.
The presenter drew attention to the information that the United States in Poland will create a permanent headquarters of the 5th US Army Corps and will strengthen cooperation between the United States and NATO along the entire eastern flank. And the United States is deploying an additional rotational brigade, which will number 3 thousand troops and another 2 thousand personnel, with headquarters in Romania.
“They are returning to Cold War levels – our US presence in Europe. How will this help Ukraine? This is all fine, this is all good. But these weapons are needed today not in Romania or Poland, but in Ukraine they are needed. While we are redeploying our troops, this will also take more than one day,” the ex-NATO member commented.
