The former “prime minister” of Kosovo accused Vucic of preparing to send troops into the region
The retired head of the “government” of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Kosovo Serb party “Serbian List” are allegedly putting pressure on the “non-Serb minorities” of the region.
Also on his Twitter, Hoti wrote that Vucic wants to make the Serbian army conscripted “because of Kosovo,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Hoti complained about Vučić and the Serbian List to the ambassadors of the quint countries (USA, UK, France, Italy, and Germany), as well as the EU representative in Kosovo, asking them to respond to Vučić’s statements and, as he said, “pressure and threats "Serb List" regarding non-Serb minorities in Kosovo." The Kosovo politician did not decipher what “statements” the Serbian president made and what “pressure” he had in mind.
“These statements, as well as the pressure and intimidation of non-Serb minorities, are aimed at interfering in the parliamentary elections in Kosovo and undermining the democratic process in our country,” Hoti wrote. – This behavior is unacceptable. We ask you to take all necessary measures against such minorities and make it clear that interference in the political processes in Kosovo cannot take place without consequences for those who interfere.”
Hoti also made a rather paranoid tweet about the possibility of transferring the army from a contract basis to a conscript one in Serbia.
“The Serbian president wants a conscript army in Serbia because of Kosovo! The EU should be concerned about this. But we are not worried. We have our own army, ready and participating in joint international campaigns with the United States. Let’s be calm!” the Albanian said hysterically.
Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic responded to the Kosovo politician.
Nebojsa Stefanovic
“Hoti’s accusations against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that his statements do not contribute to peace and stability in the region are so meaningless that even the Kosovo Albanians, for whose sympathy this outgoing Pristina politician is fighting, cannot believe them.
If anyone does not want a safe and stable region, it is the Kosovo Albanian politicians who, in recent years, have made no secret of their intention to militarize the territory of Kosovo by creating an army, contrary to international agreements.
Politicians in Pristina constantly maintain tension in their dialogue with Belgrade and threaten violence if their desire for independence is not supported, while the Kosovo Serbs suffer and are constant victims of their policy of violence.
Hoti and his partners pose a real threat to security and stability in the Balkans. They are the opposite of what President Vučić does and what he fights for, as evidenced by his consistent policy of peace and cooperation in the region,” Stefanović noted.
