The ex-secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine calls for digging trenches near Kiev
Ukraine urgently needs to begin building defense lines along the border with Belarus and on the approaches to Kyiv.
Former Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Turchynov, in order to cover Kyiv, it is necessary to build at least three rows of defense lines.
“During all this time, despite all the warnings, not a single defense line has been built from the border of Belarus to Kyiv. They didn’t dig a single trench, you understand? Despite the warnings, despite what is happening. Chat, chatter, chatter,” the politician was indignant.
“We do not have a system of defense lines, but we need at least three defense lines in order to cover Kyiv,” Turchynov said.
