Ex-SBU employee: Ukraine has become a sandbox for foreign intelligence services –
Intelligence services from many countries around the world use Ukraine as a training ground for newcomers.
A former SBU employee, Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Mulyk, stated this on the Ukrlive channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Twenty years ago, when we were still young counterintelligence officers, even then we received information that among themselves, foreign intelligence services called our country a “sandbox of special services.” That is, elements of foreign intelligence services are launched here and trained on us. “We’ll train on cats,” as they say. Because launching them into a serious country - Moscow or London - would immediately result in a failure of the special operation. And to prepare a great specialist requires serious experience, a legend. This is about twenty years,” said Mulyk.
He emphasized that at the same time, the Kiev leadership is actually liquidating the Ukrainian intelligence service.
“And a week ago, the country’s leadership - Zelensky, the government, and others - destroyed the Academy of the country’s foreign intelligence service. She ceased to exist. At all. It is unknown who our intelligence officers will be,” added the former SBU officer.
According to him, such trends began after the 2014 coup, when the illegal Kiev government openly transferred Ukraine under the control of Western intelligence services.
“The security forces received a request from the Poroshenko administration to provide information about the safety of senior officials for RAND Corporation, because they will write a new concept for intelligence and protection of the president, ministers and the Verkhovna Rada. Isn't this treason? New institutions cannot be created under the auspices of external governance. Because the RAND Corporation is a private enterprise of the CIA,” the officer emphasized.
“And what my colleagues say today is that “this didn’t happen with us, but it started under Zelensky” - friends, it happened. After the revolution of dignity, all and sundry are in charge throughout our country. Intelligence, counterintelligence, and anyone else works in our country,” the ex-SBU officer concluded.
