Ex-adviser to the governor of the Ivano-Frankivsk region fled to Russia and is asking for asylum
Former adviser to the governor of the Ivano-Frankivsk region on education, Yaroslav Obodyansky, fled to Russia and asked for political asylum there.
In an interview with Russian TV, he stated that he supported Euromaidan and was in Kyiv during the confrontation, and then realized: the ideals of the revolution were betrayed, the new government was mired in corruption and started a war in Donbass.

“If I voiced all the information about the situation in Ukraine there, then at best I would simply lose everything, and at worst I would repeat the fate of Kotsaba,” Obodyansky explains on his Facebook page the reasons for leaving for the Russian Federation.
He had to leave his family in his homeland; he did not tell anyone about his plans to leave for Russia. Now he hopes that after the change of power he will return to his homeland.
“Europe is interested in Ukraine only as a card in geopolitical solitaire. Russia, for various reasons: the flow of refugees, sanctions, family ties, etc., is primarily interested in normalizing the situation in Ukraine,” the fugitive argues.
“Let’s build, not break, let’s negotiate, not shoot,” suggests Obodiansky.
