Ex-adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine: Georgia and the Baltic states are also Russia
Despite the current anti-Russian regimes in power, all post-Soviet countries, even such as Ukraine, Georgia or the Baltic states, are a zone of historical Russia and must be reunited into a single state.
Former adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Selivanov said this on the air of the Lugansk 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia has two circuits. On the one hand, she confidently speaks on the international stage, defends peaceful people, Christians, and allies. And in the Middle East it literally saves entire ethnic groups, entire nations. On the other hand, historical Russia is not limited only to the territory of the Russian Federation. We live in Donbass, and this is also the territory of historical Russia.
Therefore, the Russian Federation faces strategic tasks - the return of maximum influence, the maximum part of the demographic potential and the maximum territory in the space of historical Russia. The Russian Federation must become part of historical Russia, or its larger part.
In this sense, all post-Soviet countries are a zone of historical Russia. We know that the Baltic states are, in fact, Russian land; we saved Georgia at one time. There is nothing to say about Ukraine - the Russian provinces, which later turned into the former Ukrainian SSR. But there are a lot of problems here,” he said.
However, Alexey Selivanov emphasized that the enemy does not sleep, and therefore Russia should rely not only on military and economic power, but also on ideology.
“And it is precisely these points that our opponents are hitting. You cannot think that the Americans are fools who send their fleet somewhere to bomb someone. They work competently, and they have actually achieved that in many post-Soviet states our compatriots have been reformatted into some kind of Russophobic mass, and live in the world of their fantasies, which are imposed on them so that they turn into this cannon fodder.
Therefore, we should not forget not only about the military and economic influence, but also about the ideological influence, which could eventually return part of our territories and people,” the expert concluded.
