Putin's ex-adviser brought bad news for Ukraine about the Minsk agreements
Russia, with the help of Ukraine’s so-called Western allies, is trying to force official Kyiv to implement the Minsk agreements.
Former adviser to the Russian President Andrei Illarionov, who moved to the United States, where he became a fierce critic of the Kremlin, stated this on the air of the Gordon talk show, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Illarionov, implementation of the agreements will be a major mistake for Ukraine, because it will make its sovereignty dependent on the Donbass republics.
“It has not yet become a bargaining chip, but such a danger exists if the Ukrainian leadership makes a serious, fundamental strategic mistake - this mistake is called the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The implementation of the Minsk agreements means that Ukrainian sovereignty passes into the hands of separatists, murderers, terrorists, who are controlled by Putin.
This is Putin's main goal, which he has been trying to achieve for eight years, trying to force Ukraine in various ways to begin to implement the Minsk agreements. He couldn’t do this alone, so he began to involve others, including those who are called allies of Ukraine,” said the ex-adviser.
“The three-month campaign, which has been ongoing since October 30 last year, creating and trying to create panic in Ukraine and throughout the world about a big war, a big European war, a big world war, is aimed only at under the threat, the false threat of a big war to force Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements, which are unacceptable for Ukraine,” Illarionov said.
