Former Speaker of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: The situation is extremely difficult. Russians are putting pressure on the Nikolaev direction
The Russian army did not abandon its plans to liberate Nikolaev and attack Odessa and Bessarabia.
Former speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev, who once fled Crimea, stated this on the Inter TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Seleznev, the Russian Armed Forces plan to take Nikolaev into an operational encirclement and are fighting in this direction.
“The Russians are pressing, the situation remains extremely difficult, because the Ukrainian defense forces also have certain limits to their capabilities. The fighting continues,” said the former speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“They still do not abandon their illusions in terms of taking Nikolaev into the operational environment. It’s possible to cross the Southern Bug, a little north of Nikolaev, to move here, into the endless steppes of the Odessa region in the direction of Odessa, in the direction of Bessarabia,” Seleznev said.
