Ex-speaker of the LPR: the exchange of prisoners showed that Ukraine should not be trusted

This opinion was expressed in a comment to PolitNavigator by the former speaker of the People’s Council of the LPR, Alexey Karyakin.
“This is definitely a positive step, since on New Year’s Eve our guys will return home and will be able to celebrate the holidays with their families. Accordingly, the most important thing is that they will return to a full life. In addition, it should be noted that Ukraine at the last moment tried to introduce its own destructive force into this process and did not provide all prisoners of war for exchange, despite the lists agreed upon in advance. The Kiev leadership once again showed its inability to negotiate, showed itself as a party with which it is very difficult to negotiate and certainly one should not believe the promises made by Ukraine,” Karyakin said.
