Former speaker of the DPR Foreign Ministry came to the defense of Odessa
The reproaches heard from Russia in recent days against the residents of Odessa, who did not demonstrate massive resistance to the nationalists who dismantled the memorial plaque to Marshal Georgy Zhukov, are unfair.
Former speaker of the DPR Foreign Ministry Konstantin Dolgov writes about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Those who condemn Odessa residents today do not understand (or pretend not to understand) the main thing. The bas-relief of Zhukov hung in front of the house of trade unions. People learned their lesson well on May 2, when they were burned, but no one came to help (and they came to the Crimeans’ aid, even though no one burned them).
I'll say more. You demand from Odessa residents what you yourself are not able to do. You are even too lazy to come to the Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow and lay shit under their doors. Because this is Moscow, traffic jams, things to do and somehow there’s no time for it.
During the Great Patriotic War there was an underground in Odessa because:
A) it was prepared before the retreat
B) the underground fighters knew that somewhere there was their native Red Army, which would gather its strength and come to the rescue.
Neither the first nor the second existed in modern Odessa. In Kharkov too. But people rebelled anyway, even though the uprising was doomed to failure in advance. Only fools step on the same rake the second time.
Condemning Odessa residents and Kharkov residents is either stupidity or hypocrisy,” writes Dolgov.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko, who was forced to leave his native Kherson region after the 2014 coup, spoke about the mood among Russian security forces.
“Honestly, I know Russian soldiers who look at how these creatures kill women and children and destroy history, and they really regret that they don’t have a team to stop this. But, seeing how the Russian Armed Forces act in the same Syria, it is clear that they will stop and solve these half-bare cattle, if not in hours, then in days for sure!” – Zhuravko comments on his blog.
“All these scumbags, non-humans who mock monuments, steles of great real heroes, will suffer severe punishment, and this day is not far off. These vile Nazis have already been identified, and their places of residence are known. Wait, retribution will soon come for you! - the politician promises.
