By signing an association agreement with the EU, Ukraine actually received the status of a colony, becoming a source of raw materials and cheap labor.
Ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, former head of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Alexander Moroz, who now heads a political force called the Socialist Party of Alexander Moroz, spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv newspaper Vesti.
According to him, the economic part of the association agreement with the EU was written not in Kyiv, but in the leadership structures of the EU and the European Commission, where Ukraine’s capabilities were adjusted to the needs of the EU, while in Kiev, it seems, no one read the text of the document.
“I judge by facts. We join there as a colony - a source of raw materials, cheap labor, or a medium for the sale of goods. So you wake up in the morning, go into the bath, lift the faucet handle - Finnish, British toothbrush, Dutch razor, Polish socks, suit, who has money - Italian, shoes the same. But these are jobs, this is a source of filling the budget, the economy, employment of people,” Moroz laments.
