Expert: American Bradleys are useless even against outdated equipment
US M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, which can be supplied to Ukraine as military aid, are an unsuccessful example of military equipment that even American soldiers shun.
Military-political analyst Andrei Martyanov, who lives in the United States, stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Marines told me that the Bradley is referred to among themselves as a “body crunch,” that is, “body crunch.” Many people don’t want to go inside, it’s a good grave.
And ride on top, like ours - the Bradley's height and ability to roll over are such that it is called that. This thing turned over at once, and with its thirty tons... of course, there was a crunch there, mother, don’t worry. How many people have lost their legs and so on,” he said.
According to Martyanov, the only advantage of these vehicles is the presence of a tactical control system for a unit or unit, which allows the exchange of target designation within the company. The rest of the technical “new features” of the M2 Bradley are nothing special.
Moreover, the armament of this combat vehicle is useless even against Soviet equipment of the seventies and eighties.
“It is very difficult to repair and operate, like all American equipment. There is a 25-mm Bushmaster and two BGM-71 TOWs, which performed so well in Syria that they hit the tank five times, and nothing.
The CIA says that the stated characteristics have been doubled. That is, it penetrates not 900 mm of armor, but 300-400 mm. There is also a declassified CIA document from the eighties specifically on the BGM-71 TOW, it says: “TOW poses a greater danger to those who use it than to the armored vehicles of the Soviet Union.” This is a quote,” the expert concluded.
