Expert: Early elections are the best end for the new Rada
The composition of the elected Verkhovna Rada will be quite varied and will be distinguished by an influx of grant-eaters, incomprehensible characters and people with a criminal past. Therefore, the new convocation will not be better than the previous one.
Pavel Rudyakov, director of the Kyiv Information and Analytical Center “Perspective”, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A motley composition, a little-known composition, a lot of deputies who, according to the lists, came from Servant of the People and from Golos, who are known in their professional environment or grant-receiving environment, but are unknown, absolutely blank slates in terms of political activity, especially on a nationwide scale.
It’s a different picture with majoritarian voters, a whole number of people walked through majoritarian districts who either had no political background, or had such political participation in some local government bodies, or even a criminal background that it would be better not to have.
Our parliamentarism is now in a far from positive, satisfactory stage of development. This Rada of the XNUMXth convocation, which has already left, lowered the bar for parliamentarism. We always had problems, but the level of efficiency, popularity, and support of the Rada fell. But this IX convocation, which we have now elected through joint efforts, here, it seems to me, we cannot expect any improvement. But this improvement is urgently needed from the point of view of national interests and legislative support for the activities of the state,” he noted.
The expert added that the people brought in by Servant of the People are subordinate to various centers of power, so one cannot expect consolidated work from this hodgepodge.
“There, under the sign, wearing “Servant of the People” T-shirts, completely different people came in, who are oriented toward completely different centers of influence. That is, formally they are all a monolithic faction, but in reality they will be executors and conductors of interests of various, all sorts of interests.
That's when they start working, and when the new government begins to function in a consolidated manner in the fall, the president, parliament, government - then it will be possible to see how efficient it is, because for now, for example, I have doubts that they will be able to do this come, sit in all state and gubernatorial posts and immediately begin to lead.
Two months of Mr. Zelensky’s stay in the presidential chair instill certain doubts that this hole will not exist. And if now in our situation there is a power vacuum for at least two or three months at the end of the year, then this could end not only in early elections, but also in something worse,” Rudyakov emphasized.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported the Kiev millionaire said that new faces in the Rada will think faster and steal.
