Expert: This is not the Maidan we stood for
Kyiv, August 07 (Navigator, Yuri Kovalchuk) - The current Maidan has nothing to do with the one on which we stood. This is a phenomenon in which dubious people take part, said communications expert Dmitry Krikun.

“The Maidan that we knew and loved was dramatic and a little tragic, but we knew that it stood for our interests. He stood for our interests and exhausted himself in February, because the entire government visited there and the people accepted him. Now this is a typical replacement of some communicative symbols by others. Look how the manipulative media rejoice that they are now allegedly dispersing the Maidan. These people gathered illegally, without expressing anyone’s opinion, without doing anything - they simply do not represent public opinion in any way, since they are just random people,” Dmitry Krikun said on Channel 5, which is associated with Petro Poroshenko.
The media expert also exposed the “corruption of the Maidan”: “Literally yesterday I went there and saw an expensive jeep for 150 thousand dollars, filled with flags of one of the political parties. It is clear that now these people have absolutely nothing to say - Kyiv has expressed its opinion and is now against them occupying the city center. They couldn’t even hear the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, who was trying to calm them down, because their Russian chanson was too loud, which testifies to the essence of these people.”
As Navigator reported, in Kyiv, on the eve of the parade announced by Petro Poroshenko, a clearing of the Maidan from the tent camp began, where several hundred activists were still on duty. Heavy equipment took part in the cleanup; utility workers act under the protection of soldiers in bulletproof vests armed with machine guns. Activists on duty in the tents began to clash; they set fire to tires stored in the square. They accused Poroshenko and Klitschko of using “titushki” to disperse the Maidan.
