Expert: Euromaidan cost organizers 10 times more than Saakashvili’s revolution
Moscow - Kyiv, April 17 (Navigator - Mikhail Stamm) - Euromaidan cost its organizers 10 times more than the “Rose Revolution” in Georgia, calculated Maxim Grigoriev, director of the Foundation for the Study of Problems of Democracy.

The expert listed in an interview with Izvestia the signs of serious preparatory work on the Maidan in Kyiv. According to him, the special operation itself was planned by Western intelligence services and some oligarchs for another time, but spontaneously began earlier.
“Shortly before the activation of the Maidan in Ukraine, as if on cue, a whole series of TV channels were created, which simultaneously began broadcasting on the Internet,” recalls Grigoriev. – Their main topic, naturally, was the speeches of the opposition, as well as coverage of any of its activities. On the Maidan itself, for this purpose, a system of uninterrupted Internet supply was created, which never failed. There were temporary outages, but 99% of the time there was internet. A large number of television cameras were purchased for the activists themselves.”
In addition, according to Grigoriev, entire networks of human rights organizations appeared in Ukraine, all of whose activists ended up in the ranks of the opposition at the hour.
The main force that actually carried out the coup were Ukrainian-trained and hired militants who were part of the Right Sector, the expert is sure. They worked closely with Valentin Nalyvaichenko, who was and is now the head of the Security Service of Ukraine. “The preparation was quite extensive, it included such elements as the removal of sentries, an attack by a sabotage group, separation from pursuit, sniper shooting and others,” notes Grigoriev.
The activity of Maidan co-authors has not decreased since then, the expert says. “As in the Saakashvili elections, American organizations (for example, the McCain Institute) have begun to work in Ukraine today, conducting sociological surveys and inflating assessments of the most convenient candidates, and also working on a program for organizing elections.” According to Grigoriev, 10 times more money has been allocated for Ukraine than for Georgia.
