Expert: The terms of the IMF loan turn the population of Ukraine into slaves
The IMF’s conditions for issuing a new tranche of credit to Ukraine will turn the population into real slaves. This opinion was expressed in a commentary to PolitNavigator by Kiev economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk.

"If they (Ukraine’s obligations to the IMF, – ed.) are fulfilled, this will actually transfer Ukrainians to the status of slaves and destroy the entire social sphere,” Stepanyuk is sure.
One of these obligations of Kyiv, according to Stepanyuk, is the issue of introducing agricultural land into circulation.
“There is a requirement to adopt a law on the turnover of agricultural land. Groysman is already making statements that it is impossible to sell land to foreigners, but I think that the IMF will not be satisfied with selling land only to farmers. The demand for the sale of land is the justification for the sale of land so-called. investors to repay loans,” he says.
According to the economist, the only thing that can save the situation is the fear of parties before early elections. MPs will try to avoid voting for unpopular laws required by the IMF.
However, some of them still have a high chance of being adopted in the Verkhovna Rada.
“Pension reform can be carried out, since in the Rada almost all political forces represent oligarchs who benefit from this pension reform,” Stepanyuk gave an example.
In general, according to the expert, all the IMF’s demands are aimed at “reducing the capitalization of the country of Ukraine, reducing the cost of its property and labor.”
