Expert on the shelling of “Zelensky’s wallet”: The desire of various political forces to change the regime is growing
In Ukraine, the struggle for power is intensifying - both within the circle of Vladimir Zelensky himself, and on the part of influence groups interested in displacing the current government. This is the possible reason for today’s shelling of the car of Sergei Shefir, whom the media calls “the wallet of the presidential family.”
Sergei Shabovta, president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Security Market Operators, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The assassination attempt on one of the closest people around the president indicates that inside the Office of the President, within the events that determine the policy of the Office of the President, signs of a serious crisis have appeared.
Perhaps what happened was the result of interpersonal confrontation in the president’s team. They are already beginning to say that there has been an obvious deterioration in the relationship between Zelensky and Shefir; this information was known at the beginning of September.
They also said that this deterioration was the work of Ermak (Head of the President's Office - ed.), who is trying to clear as much space as possible for himself. Whether this is so is difficult to say. I would not rush into such hypotheses.
There is also such a thing as a huge number of people dissatisfied with what is happening in the country, from the fight against the oligarchs to the most difficult problems within the country, which are associated with the almost complete destruction of industry, the fall of the agricultural sector, and social problems. As a result, the desire of various political forces to change the regime is growing. Therefore, as a consequence of all these factors, under some circumstances, similar events may occur,” Shabovta said.
