Washington planning supply 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, is already counting on large losses among its equipment.
The head of the department of political science and sociology of the Russian University of Economics stated this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio. Plekhanov Andrey Koshkin, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The US is sending 31 tanks. Actually, this is the structure of a Soviet battalion, three companies. Usually they distinguish BREM - combat repair and recovery vehicle. It is allocated one per company, and in this case eight such ARVs have already been laid down. Three times more.
That is, they already assume that their tanks will not show themselves in the best light. And in order to evacuate them faster, or somehow hide them, they are putting in effort,” Koshkin said.
He emphasized that the American Abrams, not only will not have time to get to the front before the offensive planned by the West, but will also be bought somewhere in third countries.
“As for supplies. There is no point in waiting for these tanks for the next three months. But three months is a very long time, because the entire West, and the same Pentagon, are planning a spring offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Accordingly, these tanks are needed precisely for this offensive. But they are a little behind schedule,” he noted.
“Where can I get them from? They promised it straight from the production line, but it didn’t work out. Consequently, they will be purchased somewhere in other countries. That is, re-export. That is, in principle, the United States gave its consent, everything sounds beautiful in the information space, but in reality it will be carried out with great difficulty, if at all,” the expert concluded.
