The expert explained why they are not looking for the Poltava terrorist who outwitted the police
The case of a criminal who recently took hostage they are trying to hush up the police chief in Poltava due to the possible involvement of the terrorist in nationalist radical groups.
Political scientist Alexander Bulavin stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today, crimes in Ukraine are often committed by former ATO participants, members of various types of illegal armed formations. And because of this, it often turns out that it is impossible to “put the pressure on” the situation, to bring the matter to completion, to punish the criminal. Perhaps this explains why the criminal was not caught.
If a criminal case is opened against him, there will again be some protests by nationalist groups. That’s why everyone is putting the brakes on, they’re not looking for the criminal, no statements are made about the incident, and so on. Although such a situation is a good reason to do PR for yourself, as demonstrated by the hostage taking in Lutsk the day before,” Bulavin said.
