The expert explained why the rating of the governor of the Irkutsk region increased
The ratings of more than 30 Russian governors have decreased over the past six months, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Among the leaders in the rating decline are the heads of Ingushetia, Sevastopol, and the Ulyanovsk region. The top ten governor-leaders, whose work citizens began to evaluate higher over the past six months, included the following heads of regions: Stanislav Voskresensky (Ivanovo region), Andrey Travnikov (Novosibirsk region), Sergey Levchenko (Irkutsk region), Murat Kumpilov (Adygea), Mikhail Vedernikov (Pskov region), Andrey Klychkov (Oryol region), Gleb Nikitin (Nizhny Novgorod region), Sergei Sobyanin (Moscow), Alexander Bogomaz (Bryansk region) and Alexander Burkov (Omsk region).
situation "National Expert" Timur Dugarzhapov, editor-in-chief of the New Buryatia Publishing House, commented.
“Sergei Levchenko is the head of the Soviet school, one of the “red directors.” He became the governor of the Irkutsk region after relations between big business and governor Sergei Eroshchenko deteriorated very badly. In fact, Levchenko’s victory in the second round of 2015 marked a real “revolt” of business against Eroshchenko. Levchenko learned a lesson from the confrontation between Eroshchenko and business, and therefore creates normal living conditions for businessmen. In addition, he works a lot in the budgetary and social sphere. Reacts promptly to crisis events. Of course, he has a certain opposition that constantly pricks him, however, on the whole, he suits the population, industrialists, and the main political groups with his leadership style. Moreover, the main economic indicators of the Irkutsk region are quite decent. It should also be noted that in the region, in addition to the traditional sectors of the economy - timber chemistry, oil refining, mechanical engineering, aircraft production, new ones have emerged - oil and gas production. Tourism is developing,” the expert noted.
