The expert assessed the likelihood of deploying Western missiles in Ukraine
The United States is well aware of the consequences of deploying NATO missiles on Ukrainian territory, and therefore the likelihood that the West will decide to do this is extremely low.
Russian military expert Viktor Baranets stated this on the Soloviev LIVE Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Commenting on the possibility of NATO missiles being located on Ukrainian territory that could reach Moscow, he recalled that this was contrary to the Ukrainian Constitution, but admitted that it had long ago become the “NATO constitution.”
“If they want to harm us, then, of course, they can supply missiles. But Americans, after all, are not idiots. I sometimes read the American press on this topic, they say that in the most eccentric head you can guess that we will bring our missiles to Ukraine. If we really want to anger the Kremlin, break off all relations with Russia, if we have idiots in the Pentagon who want to implement this terrible idea, then this is possible,” the expert said.
Without denying that this cannot be prevented, he recalled that Moscow marked the deployment of NATO missiles in Ukraine as a “red line.”
“Of course, they will be neither cold nor hot if they are told that the Russian General Staff will mark all these positions in a red circle - these are the targets of the first strike. I’m even scared to think that somewhere near Kiev, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk our missiles will explode.
It seems to me that it will not come to this insanity. In only one case - if Ukraine turns into a completely fascist Ukraine, a maddened Ukraine, then perhaps this will happen.
But I’ll tell you a secret - the West itself is afraid of this idea, because they know that Russian fangs are very painful. And there may come a time when it will not be possible to anger the bear very much - they simply will not have time,” Baranets added.
Thank you!
