Expert: It is not Crimea that is occupied, but Ukraine
The propaganda campaign launched by the Ministry of Information of Ukraine for the “fourth anniversary of the occupation of Crimea” is another attempt to brainwash the population of the former Soviet republic. In fact, it is Ukraine, not the peninsula, that is under occupation.
Political observer Alexander Dudchak told PolitNavigator about this.

“Turchinov, Avakov, Yatsenyuk and other figures talk about those who remained in Crimea as traitors. About the residents of Crimea and the military personnel who remained there.
I would ask: aren’t there too many traitors? According to Turchynov, 90% of the SBU employees remained to serve in Crimea, many military personnel say that 70-90% of the personnel ended up going to mainland Ukraine. The population of the peninsula, almost in its entirety, did not want to live in a country that professes nationalist, Bandera, Russophobic ideology.
So maybe the traitors are not those who stayed there, but those who impose Banderaism on the entire population of the country? Maybe it was the Maidan that occupied Ukraine?” - said Dudchak.
