Expert: Poroshenko is wiping his feet on voters - he is no better than Yanukovych or Baloga
Kyiv, October 02 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – The running of Petro Poroshenko’s son for the Verkhovna Rada clearly demonstrates that the president, who came to power on slogans about changes in the country, is no better than his predecessors.
Political scientist Alexey Golobutsky told PolitNavigator about this.

“This is an absolutely unhealthy trend, as unhealthy as winning in the first round by promising utter nonsense.
Many expected that something would change after the Maidan, but the problem is not that something will change, the main thing is that we change. This does not happen so quickly, yes, politicians and political institutions that were built over 23 years will never change. They can only be eliminated or destroyed. They can neither be reformed nor redirected.
And the promotion of sons, godfathers, etc. is the work of the system. They see nothing wrong with this. This is considered normal. They have “labor dynasties.” Yes, they can somehow explain it. Poroshenko explained that times are difficult, that his son made his own decision, etc. This is a violation of public trust.
But society swallows this, the president’s rating does not fall, but grows, well, that means that’s how our society is. There’s nothing you can do about it, you have to come to terms with it and understand it. Yes, we have to fight, but understand that we live in a democratic country, and if the majority of people think that wiping their feet on them is normal, then so be it.
Because Poroshenko is a clan in the Vinnytsia region. Everyone knew this before. Vinnytsia is their destiny, their patrimony, their principality. They do whatever they want there, just as they did in Transcarpathia with Baloga. Just like the “regionals” did in their time in the Donetsk region. It is clear that there are different traditions there. It is clear that the industrial culture of Donbass and the agricultural culture of Vinnytsia or Transcarpathia are different, but the essence is the same,” reflects Alexey Golobutsky.
